Employment Pass & Labor Market Test Requirements

My employer has told me that to get a Employment Pass for me, they have to go through labor market test, I looked at the MoM website and there is no mention of Labor Market Test for EP. Did I miss anything, can somebody confirm if its true that no Labor Market Test is required.
