German Beer ANYWHERE?

Okay, this is quite sad- I swear I'm no beer fanatic. But I'm thinking of taking my Singaporean colleagues out for some good German beer. Trying to avoid the usual though- so no 'Brotzeit' or 'Paulaner' please!
There must be other placs that serve good German beer??? Also, I've heard of a legendary German bakery in Chinatown- anyone know whether they serve beer?
Cheers!!!

Not quite sure about german beer in Singapore although the shop which you are referring to does not sell beer if i am correct. Moreover its not a bakery shop but a suasage kiosk....

But must say that the sausages do taste heavenly there.....

It's not German (pretty close though), but it's good..... had dinner there last Friday night. Down on Robertson Quay.

Well the Swiss Club at Bukit Tingi Road serves German Beer, like Erdinger Weiss Bier or HEfe Weizen, Warsteiner and the famous export ones like becks and stuff

Cheers for that folks!

I'll try and work with that... worst case scenario I shall be dragging them to Brotzeit! I'm well excited for those sausages though

A German colleague told me he had divine pretzels there- and he's from Munich so knows what he's talking about!

You could try this place at United Square (Novena), it's on the basement floor. I went there on a very quiet Saturday afternoon for lunch. Good food!

I work near Novena, and I have been there a few times. Agree about the good food, but not a german, so maybe your idea is different
