Hosting Microsoft Exchange

Folks - I've almost given up on the idea of hosting my own server (getting a home broadband connection with a static IP seems alot more tricky than it is in the UK)...
...so am now looking for a singapore company that provides exchange hosting....
Can any of you folks recommend a reliable provider?

I use a Singapore firm called Netsarius (
http://www.netsarius.com/). Very pleased with response time, up time, tech support, and costs. Run a website for me with a decent amount of traffic. Windows et al, or Linux et al. Virtualized boxes if you want your own space. Ask for HK. Not affiliated, blah blah woof woof.

do you really need microsoft exchange? most web hosting will give you free web emails or pop3/imap based on your domain if you want to use a local client.
used to do what you are doing with a 512k download / 256k upload ADSL on a USB modem. windows NT 4.0 and exchange 5.5. that was 10 years ago!

How many email accounts do you need? If you only need <5 accounts or even <20 or so there's other options you could consider.
My previous company tried two different "exchange killers" open-xchange and scalix and I wasn't very impressed with either.
Also no offence to anyone but running a exchange server on a home internet connection does not make any sense to me. It's a waste of electricity/time/money/frustration.
Usually from what I saw most places that provide exchange as a service will charge you a flat rate per account.

i used to run a small start-up and had my own exchange server...when i decided to wind down the company i thought i may as well utilise the server for personal use and hosted it at home...i actually found it extremely hassle-free... it just worked in the background and gave me access to all the push/webmail and other features which my family and i found useful.
having said this..i also appreciate that when things go wrong the frustration/time/money expense kicks in. i've brought the server with me and am going to try hosting it at home....let's see how it goes...otherwise i will indeed think of using a hosting service.
