Looking for smoked chiles for tacos

I plan to make tacos al pastor for a BBQ and am looking for smoke-dried chile for the marinade. Like Guajillo or chipotle chiles.

I found some dried sambal chilis on Dunlop Street but they don't have that dark look or smoky scent. What would be a local substitute?

I'm also OK with buying a mole/menudo paste, too... But where?

Might be a challenge there. Mexican food ingredients are largely commercial brands like Old El Paso, etc. You can try your luck in Ion 360 Market Place and Jonas Grocer, which have quite a lot of dried ingredients.

On the other hand, you can get fresh jalapanos in Market Place at Paragon, if that helps!

The Market Place at Tanglin Shopping Centre has some. They are canned and imported from Mexico. I couldn't make my famous 5 Alarm Chilli without em! Enjoy...
