I know the venue posting is pretty late this week....sorry if it caused any problem in your weekend plan

We will meet this week at an Irish Pub...Regarded by its many regulars as the only true Irish pub in town...so lets see what they have to offer to us....

the only true Irish pub in town

It's so Irish the owner thinks he's from Leichtenstein, if I remember correctly!

A great pub, though - a "proper" pub like the ones we have back in Oz or over in Pomsville. A place to have a drink and catch up, as opposed to paying a fortune to "be seen being trendy".

Afterwards, you can also check out the night-life along Tanjong Pagar Road or Duxton Hill. Always amusing!

Actually, now that it's rattled around in my brain for a couple of hours, I think he may have been Lithuanian. In any case, it sounds like the place has changed hands and Pat is no longer there, so we shall see what we see when we get there.

And if we really don't like it (though I've never been in a Irish pub I didn't like) there's another Irish pub at Duxton Hill, unless it's changed to a Lithuanian pub (or even a Leichtensteinian pub) since I've been there.
