I used to live in Hawaii and never learned how to play one. I hope I will get the chance to do it here in SG.

Have you seen the movie 50 first date? Have you heard of the sound track there by Iz. He sang it with a ukulele accompanying it.

That would be Israel Kamakawiwo'ole.
His medley of "Over the Rainbow/What a Wonderful World" has been used in a few movies.
Miss him.

By the way, where in Hawaii did you live?

There is an uncle that teaches the instrument for free every Sunday at the Caribbean Apartments at the club house by the pool anyone could walk in off the street. He is a really nice guy I have talked to him about gardening as he has a plot and grows food as well.

why dont' u just learn some chords off the internet? that's what i did during schooldays. you can also get a cheap enough ukulele off the internet.
