Just want to highlight a point, which I have being noticing since I got down to Singapore.I believe that so-called ‘Indian young professionals”

I guess it would be overtly generalistic to say that Indian only look for female company,because it would apply to all cultures to a certain extent.But overall, yes we are not highly sociable , like watch cricket at pub or just go to a pub and make new friends (of either sex).I hope the trend changes as Indian professionals gain global exposure and cultivate the the better aspects of phoren culture.

why do i smell IT geeks all over these posts. There is no such thing as an unsociable indian male or unsociable american male,, it all always boils down to individual personas, and globally people in engineering or science backgrounds have been introverted, less social and just down right nerdy. It just so happens that this is precisely the kind of indian professional you are most likely to find outside of india courtsey of the IT boom. I am pretty sure most of these horny engineers didnt have much of interaction with opposite sex even in india. so before you go too much deep into generalizing all indians as unsociable look into your own persona, most people in india are highly social and friendly in case you didnt notice. and before u get mad at me, for being brutaly honest, i am indian too but i just make the effort to be social and havent had any problems with getting male or female company
