Maybe a self defense group is good. fitness & street defense is equally important.

When you joing a forum and the only three posts you have made are in the one thread you started and even then because nobody has responded to your ploy - yeah, sounds like a come-on to me.

those already studying martial arts will tend to look for established groups/schools in the country. there are already mma, karate, taekwondo, aikido, kickboxing, muay thai, jiujutsu, capoeira, ninjutsu, kali/escrima, wing chun, wushu, krav maaga, pencak silat, boxing, etc groups and schools in the country.
those who want to learn martial arts/self defense will look for these same schools, if not classes. or they will solicit recommendations themselves.
from what i've observed over the years, new groups usually start out as gatherings as friends first who all happen to know martial arts. sharing the same passion, they then decide to form an informal group first then formalize things as their numbers get bigger. For schools, they usually start out as "franchises" of their own fields, sanctioned by a larger, umbrella organization. starting out by calling out strangers is not a very good idea because--let's not deny it--ego starts getting in the way.
long story short, SMS is not wrong to suspect you.

Now I know why people always say forum is full of sick; lonely; insecure & resentful people! The most are coward talkers. Pls go to see doctors! The rest may leave the forum.

For a moment there, I thought you said "with a new
kick."
Say, can we ask the forum admin for a
facepalm emoticon? Or even a
headdesk emoticon? I think we'll end up using them a lot.
