DOES ANYONE KNOW ABOUT SASS ATLANTIC RELATIONS WITH TIGER AIRWAYS? Well, i went to their walk in interview on the 19 th Dec 2009, and they mention about the 5k thingy; "to show your commitment, you have to have 5k in your bank acct and after 2 years, if you're done with the training, the 5k is yours." is this true? ..anyone went to the interview on that day too?

hi there can i ask if they <sass> told you when would there be another batch for training? is it for january or feb? anyway about what you're askin' about the 5k thingy, before i had friends who entered tiger they said they paid only 3k,wow,now it's 5k and yet there's no assurance that you're already a cabin crew.

SASS never told me about their next intake. you might want to give them a call to find out? your friends were directly employed by tiger or they also went thru with SASS first before being employed? well, 5k is alot. afterall, i think its not worth. it's like we're paying them to hire us):

Hi there, dont be taken in by all these gimmicks. U are looking for job not paying them to hire u.there are so many airlines out there. The horizon are so broad. Cant catch these plan u can hop on another.

Hi in my opinion, I think the 3k-5k is not paying them to hire us. It's more like a bond, similar to jetstar. This is to prevent ppl from using tiger airways as a training ground or a place to gain experience before job hopping to other airlines. It is sort of like a insurance to them as training and recruitment cost lots of money.
After working for them, e.g a year, part of the money will be returned and slowly the total sum is returned after you completed the contract.

I absolutely agree! Most cabin crew makes these low cost carriers as their stepping stone for other big airlines and I think its a sad thing that these budget airlines train you and groom you to become one and afterwards you jump off to another when the opportunity comes.

Yup, its like a bond things to show ur commitment? Well this only applied to Jetstar International crew while jetstar asia crew you dont have to pay a single cents

The bond for jetstar international have to pay is $1850 if i'm not wrong

If u wanna join by all means, dont regret.
