Visiting Singapore in one week...what should I pack?

I am a 28 year old male student from the US visiting Singapore in a week. What types of clothes should I bring to feel comfortable in the weather and also socially? I assume tshirts and shorts will work for touring the city, but what do most wear out to dinner and to bars? Would bringing a few pair of jeans be ridiculous? Obviously attire will vary by location but I wanted to see if I was in for any surprises. I have never visited any city with a climate like Singapore's so any advice would be great.

Daytime touring: Shorts, tshirt, flip flops.
Night time bar/club: jeans, loose cotton shirt, decent shoes.
If you want to visit temples and the lot, make sure you cover up, just as a sign of respect. When you want to see some jungle sites, make sure you cover up most of your skin with thin cotton clothes and a lot of bug spray (dengue is no fun and endemic, but mainly in jungle and wetland parts, not to worry in the city).
That's about it. Don't bring to much, leave room in your suitcase to take new stuff back

Depends on how long you would be here....
For 1 week, 1 short sleeved shirt, 1 polo t shirt, 1 bermudas, 1 pair of jeans and sneakers..
They rest you can buy here... this applies to anywhere in Asia you might be in.
