Thanks, guys for expressing an interest in vegetarian meet-ups. Indeed Original Sin is too expensive. There are other economical eateries where we can have nice vegetarian meals without burning our pockets and enjoy leisurely conversations. I have pmed each one of you separately and kindly do drop me an email at [email protected] so that I can send out details of our first meet-up which I intend to organize on 19th Jan Tuesday.

Glad to hear from more people of their interest to want to join in. I think now there is sufficient nos to kickstart our first veggie meet-up session (yay!!!). For a start, how about 19th Jan at 7:30 pm we go to Annalakshmi Restaurant in Chinatown Point. It’s a fantastic place with great ambience. It is manned by volunteers and they have adopted the policy of eat as much as what you want but pay what you wish to! Sounds incredible but true! The principle is that nature provides in abundance but it’s man’s greed that stops us from sharing…..The food is truly sumptuous. I will provide the details as to the address and meet-up venue etc loser to the date. Pls do email me at [email protected] to let me know your email address and confirm your attendance.

For a little more ambience and chilled out, I recommend you all to try Original Sin in Holland Village. Slightly expensive than Annalakshmi but a very different take on vegetarian and vegan food. No meat served at all. If you are a Indian vegetarian (the definition and palate is very different from the Western and Chinese sense of vegetarianism), then this would be a radical change in taste and spices. And hence, my strong recommendation to try this food.

Also to expand your vegetarian journey, there are few alternative vegetarian places in and around town (near South Bridge Rd, Telok Ayer etc.). It will keep your taste buds busy and sprightly and not get bored.
