Singapore Expats

Are there are any HDB apartments without the common toilet in the kitchen? If so, what type (A/I/S/NG...)?

I believe all HDB flats have one bath/toilet off the kitchen area and 3 & 4 BR flats have a second in the Mbr. as well.

Not all.....

Im staying in a 3 Bedroom in Sengkang. One toilet in the master bedroom, the another one next to the rooms (let's say "facing" the hall like any other bedroom)

The mature HDB estates like Bedok, Tampines, AMK etc have the toilet attached in kitchen.

But the new ones like Senkang, Punggol and Pasir Ris dont have attached. So it is old vs new and doesnt depend upon type.

I personally find it disgusting, so do all Indians that Toilet is attached to the kitchen. Kitchen is supposed to be sacred and should be as far away from the toilet as possible.

I wonder what people were thinking while designing those flats.

Guess they did it deliberately due to racial prejudice yeah? Oh, my wife is Indian, doesn't bother her at all. Guess it's just Indians who have certain religious preferences. I suppose not all Indians are created equal. Some tend to carry bigger chips on their shoulders. Some should actually return to their motherlands as they aren't emotionally equipped to deal with the big bad world out there.

Not all punggol flats as mine is attached in kitchen......n my flat isnt old either......thus it doesnt depend on old or new

My guess is to clean everything up with the same water hose and to be somehow forced to clean two potentially most dirty places at home.

x9200, I think you missed the operative word "IN" here. Meaning within the kitchen itself an not an attached toilet accessible from the kitchen only.
