Hi all,

Does anyone has any tried and tested methods for straightening long hair without making it look stick-straight? I have natural wavy and thick hair. It looks really poufy, and i'm tired of always having to blow-dry it to make my hair look neat.
Much appreciated if anyone can advise on a good and reasonable place and their price range!

Try either soft rebonding or get a flat iron

I wanted super straight hair....but soft rebonding gave it naturally straight hair.....longer hair would probably cost you abt $250 and above depending on the location and the product used. The price quoted is usually for Loreal

Opps, i meant i have long hair. I want to get it straightened without it looking stick-straight...

What elska said, get soft rebonding, but try to ask for better brands like shiseido or loreal. There are cheaper deals out there in "home salons" if you're comfy with the idea but you probably might want to check out the reviews on cozycot.

You can also try a mix - I myself did soft rebonding on my roots and upwards and towards the ends I got it rebonded with the regular cream.

be careful where you go for rebonding, in general even with a great product rebonding is very damaging to your hair...i am a fan of the Brazilian Keratin treatment, a few salons have started doing it in Singapore, it is less damaging than regular rebonding especially if your hair is not thick and has processing like colour, etc.

well.. rebonding will make your hair "flat straight"for the 1st week.
After a few washing, it will start to look natural. And on average, it last around a year, depending how fast your hair is growing.

I'm not sure about soft rebonding. I know someone who did soft rebonding, it didn't last out long on her hair. Maybe because of the different hair texture. I guess if you got thick and curly hair, soft rebonding is definitely not the choice for you.

I did mine at a salon in AMK Central, with free O3 treatment and trim, and it costed $100.

The difference is, you probably actually had yours done while catherine is just trying to advertise that salon........
