Looking for piers to hv friends/drinks/sports

indonesian chinese, 25/m, speak cantonese,hokien,& bit of mandarin(not too fluent)
Just arrived for 2 days and gonna be stuck for at least 4 years.
trying to add more friends for drinks / sports : basketbal / futsal. or just hang around.

... but wouldn't they be a bit woody?
Anyhow, welcome and I suggest to look around (this is the right place), be proactive and you'd have no trouble finding friends
