I'm 22/f.
I have been doing Krav Maga for some time. It's not quite a popular martial art here. My friends are not into martial arts, so I find it boring to always go alone.
anyone into Krav Maga too?
by the way,i'm looking for gym buddies at my age too!
so give me a shout out and i will contact you.

Interesting to find two branches of Krav Maga in Singers...
Please note that Krav Maga Singapore Pte Ltd has no affiliation to the former training location in Macpherson Road known as FightWorks Asia Pte Ltd.

For the benefit of those who wish to learn Krav Maga...
I just did some quick searches. It seems that there is no one organization for Krav Maga (there are several, in fact). Founders of both organizations seem to have trained under the same school in Israel. Please verify; I didn't do a thorough check.
The prospective student should practice due diligence in evaluating either organization and choose whichever feels right, in absence of verifiable information.
EDIT: I was looking at testimonials for the IKMF--police, military, commandos, special forces and then: US Immigration and Customs

Mixikyr wrote:Yeah. Krav Maga doesn't have any official head since the death of its founder, I think, there's like a competition over the claim of heirship with all the variations out there. I wonder if they'll actually teach those moves with firearms here lol, so far it's the only martial arts I've seen that goes urban like this. And curious, did I actually learn some basics of Krav Maga during my basic military training, hm.
Having branches and breakaway groups are not uncommon in martial arts.
I don't think they will. It seems that all these organizations agreed [implicitly] that civilians have different needs from the military and law enforcement. As a civilian, I can attest that I don't handle firearms in everyday life.

Military, law enforcement and civilian KM courses will all cover knife and small firearms. The only difference is how they deal with each threat. Military KM includes assault rifles which is not in civi and law.

Sorry for the slow reply.Yes, I have been to the former website, the instructor is a former singapore policeman. He teaches Muay thai too. I was the only girl in that class!but it was a fun experience. Krav maga is not a martial art, it is a series of fighting technique, protect yourself from fights and weapons like guns and knife.
