I am looking for wine around S$50.
Could not accept some of the cheaper wine find in supermarket. Quite tastless. taste just like table wine.

Please recomment some good and nice wine.

the tic toc tic toc wine is pretty good. just have to wait for it and poof it goes!

Once upon a time, I tried this white wine in Napa Valley, California. The grapes were from a region called malvasia, I can't remember the brand anymore but the type is called malvasia bianca.

Was probably the best white wine I ever tasted. Very very sweet. Only if you like white wine I guess. When I came to Singapore, I searched high and low for it and never found it....darn it

I was thinking Malvia is an Italian wine, quite surprised they produce it overseas...

Having a problem buying a good wine under $50? Well, you haven't been looking well enough. You can get a Caliterra Reserva at <$20. Or a Penfold's if you prefer. No need to spend >$50/bottle or even >$20...

I was also very surprised to pick up a very good Shiraz for 17$ at Prime supermarket.

not affiliated blah, blah, blah...from 16 SGD till I-can't-remember-because-I-can't-fracking-afford-it. large selection too. there's also this wine cellar a bit of walk off red hill mrt, pass the car dealerships (through the street with the proton dealership that's hiding behind an italian car brand, iirc). can't remember the name, though.

A lot of very drinkable New Zealand wines available under 50. Oyster Bay and Montana at the top end (around 40) but Crossings, Villa Maria, Tahuna also good for a bit less.

The best thing to do is stock up for a month or two when Fairprice has it's 1-for-1 offers (aka "two for the price of one, aka "buy one get one free"). They had a really good Chilean wine at $25 that was on offer (1-for-1) so for $12.50/bottle I stocked up.

Haven't been back since, just too lazy, but might give it another go next week...

I think that's The Wine Gallery [No. 2 Chang Charn Road (Off Hoy Fatt Road)]. They have a great range. They are moving the warehouse so that store might end up moving to the East soon too.

Some of the banks have wine programmes too. Check your credit card promos or do a web search.
