Please do a search of this forum. The costs range widely so you are going to have to do some reading and probably talking to some agents.

Hey!

I just shipped from the UK. The shipping is really cheap though the insurance can cost a bit. It's around 3% of the declared value of your goods (which believe me adds up!)

I didn't have too much to ship just personal items as I decided to sell the furniture and rent furnished here. I got 10 medium boxes (50cm3). Which cost around £350.

There's loads of company's that do shipping. If you have furniture then use one of the companies who pack the stuff for you (they come round wrapped everything) otherwise it's normally not covered by the insurance if it gets wrecked.

Hope this helps!

i know you used the word "ship" so i guessing you want it by sea. you can have a look at www.sevenseasworldwide.com to get a rough idea on cost.

We've used sevenseas before but actaully they specialise in excess baggage and sports equipment and stuff. They're packing and relocation service is not that good as you don't get a move coordinator as you do with some of the other bigger companies.

A good one will arrange all your storage (and insurance in storage) will pack and collect and will include packing materials and stuff.

I used pickfords 150 cu was 1000 pound! They have a minimum.

The shipping is quite cheap at 350, though the transportation and packing is expensive.
