Any STD clinics here? Back in NYC there used to be free ones. I'm not asking for free testings, I'm just wondering whether there is a specific sexual health clinics around here in the CBD area.
Otherwise where do you girls go for gyno and how much does it cost for a pap smear? Are they really annoying in terms of health insurance? Sorry for bombarding the forum with questions. I was just traumatized with how the healthcare is ran in the States so I'm quite paranoid.

There are STD clinics Tan Tock Seng Hospital. i.e The Communicable Disease Clinic.
Communicable Disease Centre (CDC)
Moulmein Road
Tel: 6357 7900, 6357 7909
Fax: 6357 7910
You can go to your own GP as most provide the test and even papsmear Not sure on gyno.
If you are PR or Sger the Medisave and Medishield should take care but not for the test, it will cost you . I can recall how much it was but I think about $20.00 for the papsmear test
If you have health insurance then you should talk to them if the tests are covered or not
Hope this helps

Please do not go to the CDC at Moulmein Road. That is where they quarantine HIV patients.
Google for "gynecologist" on your computer and check out the clinic's website.
In the central area you have Mount Elizabeth Medical Centre right at Orchard Road... nearer Bugis Junction - there is Raffles Hospital.

Obviously you have never been there. They not only treat HIV but other disease and allergies too.
There are several buildings there and usually you are referred to by your GP

Please don't stereotype CDC as such and scare people away from the center. It is just another medical facility as any other. There are no additional risks visiting that center as compared to other centers.
A HIV patient could be well seated next to you in an MRT or bus ride, and it does not mean that you are in danger.
