One thing about leaving Cali, I miss hiking up the PG&E Trail, or going up Mission Peaks. 2000ft elevation in 2 miles.... <gasp>
Anyone does hiking in Singapore? Can be Bukit Timah / Mt Faber trails or anywhere else you're familiar with? Would like to stretch my legs out sometime soon.
Cheers.

Also, anyone else interested in hitting the gym, swimming, running or just any old physical activity please hit me up at
[email protected]. Kinda want to keep the old motor working.
I've signed up at Fitness First so if you have a membership there, we can work out together or you can try a trial membership if you don't have one.
Also, if you like to swim laps (I usually swim 1-2km, but feel free to set your own pace and distance), we can push each other. I usually swim at a country club in the west but can sign you in as a guest or we can swim at the FF gyms with pools.
I'm a 28 yr old male, and live close to Holland Village. Open to guys, gals anything under the sun.[/u]

Last but not least,
Anyone who can speak Japanese or Korean, I would love to language partner with. Lots of meet-ups with expats but everyone tends to speak English. Would like to brush up my skills with both Korean and Japanese as I'm quite weak in both.
I'm much better with English and Chinese but got by in Seoul and Tokyo with my rudimentary skills.

You'll be surprised that there are lots of places you can go hiking in Singapore. MacRitchie Reservoir - well marked trails, Bukit Timah - well marked jungle trails, Chestnut Ave to Upper Pierce Reservoir - jungle trekking etc. Check this:

There are a couple of hiking / walking groups in Singapore. Most of them use either google groups or meetup.com to arrange. Look through there and see what you find, else arrange one and post it here.
