Any book clubs out there?

I'm moving to Singapore on the 18th of June, will be doing nothing up until September from when I will be on a 1 year maternity leave. Plenty of time for reading I hope!
I am in an expat book club here in Norway where I am moving from, and since I will really miss my monthly get-togethers with talks about books etc, I'm wondering is there is a book club out there looking for new members, that I can join when I get to Singapore?

hi all,
there is a book club that got started on this forum and it is still going strong. they meet once a month. i joined the book club but i haven't had time to go for meetings. just search for "Singapore Book Club" here on the forum and also on facebook.

Hi girls,
I am an Australian in her early 30s who has been in Singapore for 6 months now.
I was wondering if you had any success with the Singapore Book Club as i am keen to join up with one? I would rather a smaller group of expat ladies than a cast of thousands . Hope to hear from you!

Hi everyone!
Have had a hectic time packing up my stuff in Norway and unpacking in Singpore and have not really looked at all the replies until now. Happy to see that so many are intrested.
I'm wondering how many of you are interested starting up a new book clube where we meet on daytime? I see my better half so little as it is, so would rather start up a book club with a few members that meet in daytime then in the evenings.
If you are interested, I think we should start by meeting up for coffee somewhere and discussing in what form, often etc. And what first books to read. In my previous book club we all read the same book and meet up once a month to discuss it, and I think that was a good set up, but would happily take other suggestions.
So if we are a few interested, I can set something up for next week maybe?

So for those of you how are still interested;
We have arranged for a first meet-up to discuss setting up an new book-club. Will meet this Friday, the 9th, at Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf on floor B1 in Somerset 313 at 2 pm.

PS: I'm easy to spot as am 7 months pregnant
