I really want to learn Mandarin and I have been learning from a book (Living Language - Ultimate Chinese) but I need someone to practice speaking with, because the pronunciation always gets me. It would be good if I could work through the book with someone, maybe meet up once a week for an hour or two.

In return I can offer you a free coffee, perhaps a muffin if you're doing a good job.... If you're an actual teacher perhaps we can discuss an hourly rate, I'd like to do lessons it's just that I'm just starting a business so basically have no income, hence the stinginess...I hope this will change in the near future ><

I don't know why anyone would want to take time out of their day to teach me Mandarin for free but it's worth a shot asking here....

I noticed you have asked many people for the same thing, did they not work out? Are you currently teaching other people Mandarin?

I don't mean to be picky but I'm hoping to learn the southern accent as that's where I spend more time in China

we're from australia and my husband is trying his hardest to learn chinese - mandarin. maybe if you both learnt together, with me teaching, that'll be some motivation. he drops out every other day when it gets too hard. where r u located? we could meet up sometime?

I just moved to Singapore from HK and I would like to learn Mandarin since left and right people speak Mandarin here.

I was born and raise in NYC so in return I could exchange English =)
