How are you applying for PR if you are on a LTVP? Are you the spouse of a PR or Citizen? It shouldn't be any problem as one is via MOM while the other (PR) is via ICA. If the EP is issued, then you would need to notify ICA at that time. (will probably help to gain the PR as well).

Ya ...i applied for a pr based on my spouse. Thank you for the information. It was helpfull. I was also wondering if i can apply for a temperory ep from ICA. The MOM said i can apply for a normal EP but was not sure of the Temp EP that ICA gives.

The only way you will get an temporary EP from ICA is if you are an approved Landed PR (LPR).

Being here on a Temp EP, I will put in my two cents. Get a normal EP instead!

The Temp EP let's you work here and contribute to the economy but you slip through the cracks in the system. It is only a three month visa which is renewed, so you don't have the confirmed minimum 6 months future residency that phone plans or other contracts require...credit cards too.

You are not recognised for a SingPass, so you cannot apply and update details online.

You cannot convert to a local driving licence.

Whilst you can have your spouse do some of this stuff instead, it can be an unnecessary hassle!
