Singapore Expats

Hi, I'm new here.

I have a question... when you enter Singapore on a Short Term Visit Pass and extend it for 3 months, what happens if you want to leave Singapore for a short holiday (Bali, Phuket etc) for about 5 days and then re-enter Singapore? Will your Visit Pass be cancelled and you have to start all over or will it pick up from where you left off?

On single entry depending where you are from , is 30 days as norm. You can extend up to 90 days with interval between 30 days each for a short run of about 5 days to JB, Bali whatever. Best to come in thru Changi Airport or you can go to www.ica.gov.sg to extend it if you intend not to do the short run.Your visa will be renewed in between the run or going on line
Either way max is 90 days . If you exceed this , you be asked to leave OR if you continuing doing those run, you may end up being banned from SG.
Just make sure you have sufficient funds to survive here like CC or cash or someone living in SG that can vouch you as Immigration Officer might query you in between those runs.

I'm actually asking in place of my fiance who is from the UK. I am a Singaporean citizen. Do you recommend doing the visa run or doing an extension online? If he does do the visa run will he have to do it each time 30 days is up?

We will be leaving and entering the country together so there will be no problems there re: someone living in SG vouching for him.

Extension on line or go to ICA Kallang will be best. Like I said if you intend to stay here and not leaving SG for that 90 days, go to Kallang and apply will be easier. On line usually is a standard 30 days.
Those visa runs will depends on the Immigration Officer at border control . Standard is 30 days, you can asked for 90 days too at the border control and they may rubber stamped on the PP

If he's a British passport holder he'll get a 90 day stamp on arrival.
