green means recycling, so SMRT is recycling other people's advert.

i don't think people at SMRT tweet. at least, the ones who matter don't.

That's just it. If it were a parody, they'd use something people would recognize and put a twist in it--which obviously failed because the fail whale is used by twitter as a sign that their network is down. How the hell does that convey the message of "going green"?
Whoever came up with the ad campaign is probably banking that people won't recognize the motif or doesn't know the target audience much.

the gov..have MICA....they have lots of writers and advertising big wigs ...why they can't come up with something original? They should fire themselves.
oh yeah did you see that litterbug advert in the mrt? picking your nose in public isnt cool..theyre really not in touch with their audience

I haven't. But seriously, why don't they do something about olfactory offensive situations? That's some hygiene issues there.
