Singapore Expats

I've just moved into a home and have A LOT of extra stuff in my house that I hope won't be here next week. But I have no idea what to do with it. Our trash collector says they only collect the one bin and we fill that with trash. Does anybody know where/how I can dispose of the following:

large cardboard appliance boxes w/packing materials (i.e. dryer, television)
books, toys, games
excess furniture (nothing too nice)

We got rid of all of our cardboard boxes to the free newspaper people..they happily cleared the lot. A friend who moved gave all the spare stuff he didn't want to the cleaners around the estate. Seems they were delighted.

So, when you say the 'free newspaper people' you mean the guys who stuff the newspaper in the gate in the morning? They took your cardboard boxes? I would never have thought of that. Thanks

Yes, that's the guys, they will collect them in a truck..Might have to get up early to grab one of the delivery peeps, but it is great to recycle..

stuff ->donate to national salvation army
books -> donate to libray
furniture -> the collector's centre of your estate?

you can always post an ad on grumtree or similar and giveaway for free,
there'll be lot of people glad to collect them
