Hello,
I'm male and 30 years of age.
My plans each and every weekend is to learn something new and explore the island a little more. Also, trying to learn Mandarin if anyone know of a good place/school.

I want to learn Mandarin too. Did you find a school Nate?
I moved to SG 2 months ago from Philly. Which city are you from?

No I have not found a school as of yet, but still looking. I'm here way of Detroit Town. Welcome to Singapore, if you find it hard to meet up with people just send me your number/PM and we can meet up some time. I have been networking with some US folks if you are looking for a US crew or if have some friends I would enjoy meeting up and hanging out as well.

After 15 years in Sg I finally started taking Mandarin lessons. I'm quite enjoying it, although the four tones are fairly hard to figure out at first.
The place I go is geared for getting business people up and running asap with conversational phrases. But I have no intention of becoming a Mandarin scholar so that's pretty well what I want.
I met the instructor through Amcham and am 5 wks into the 8 wk basic program, you can see the course outline

It's a good program. Any questions, let me know. Cheers,
