for over a year now i have been looking at weekend free and easy package tours where travel agencies package accommodation and airfare. however, i have only taken two such trips because it has been difficult to find someone to twin-share rooms with. oftentimes it becomes a major production with tons of people, which defeats the purpose of a quick and hassle-free getaway.

the deal is just to travel together, share the room, and once at the destination do what suits oneself.

you can list yourself in this page if this is your cup of tea, then we will have a stable of people we can contact to take such random trips.

Staying a backpackers/youth hostels is one way to overcome this. You can get a twin room and share with a stranger / small dorm (<5 peeps) - works great

I found in the angry angmo website that there is a nice place in JB called Kota Tinggi Rainforest.

It is located 15 kilometers north-west of town Kota Tinggi
We can do trekking through rural jungle, along several lonely waterfalls
Is a 2 Day Hike (1 day hike up the mountain, overnight camping, 1 day hike back).

Good to know that you are interested too. There are a lot of things that we need to discuss. Tentatively if we put on either 20th or 27th Nov 2010, are you okay with the date? My first time and I have no experience going for such a trip. I will need to read back the info provided in the angmo website. I need to scout for a tent & bag too.
