Singapore Expats

My colleagues and I recently went to il Lido, located at Sentosa Golf Club. They are having a set-lunch promotion at $38++ and if you are driving, as long as you keep the receipt, the gantry fee is fully refunded! We were overlooking the panoramic view of the Singapore Straits while dining and the weather was just perfect!

The service staffs are friendly and attentive which made the overall experience an enjoyable one. Our set lunch consist of a soup/appetizer, main course: pasta/fish/meat and desserts with a selection of gourmet coffees and teas.

The set lunch menu changes daily and we also learnt that il Lido has many other credit card promotions for both lunch and dinner. We thought that it was a value-for-money deal and will definitely come back again!

so, do you have other promotions in your restaurant? it sounds like you have a very delightful operation you have going there.

When I last went there the view from the terrace was nice ( if a still day its really hot) Food looked good but turned out to be very average. Not worth the trip out, but if you are near by OK to pop in. Funnily enough the food at the nearby Beaufort hotel pavilion lounge is very good, but service a shockingly bad.

I'm always a little suspicious when I hear of a restaurant in Singapore that has good food and good service...incidentally I had both at Morton's last night. You can imagine what we paid for it tho...

Golf courses are more expensive than those that are not. After all. Many people dream of living on the ground because of the convenience, and the arguments why you should expect to pay much more for a house on a lot of nice that someone who is not. The additional cost of buying the house is not the only additional cost you should expect when they buy a house on a golf course, but you'll probably annual dues to pay homeowners association as well. In other words, look not only the purchase price when buying a home on the greens. On the contrary, whether the other annual expenses, you'll have to pay for living in the community when deciding whether you can really afford to live in a golf community.

haven't been to il lido before but tried out their sister's restaurant forlino at one fullerton.

Big price tag to the food I must say, but taking into account the intricate and high quality italian cuisine and the awesome view of the mbs, esplanade and padang as you dine there, I guess the price is justifiable?

heard the dj promoting forlino on 92.4 fm this afternoon too..maybe will go back someday..or maybe try out illido..

Eh you said in your previous post you went to il lido with your boyfriend was it so unmemorable you forgot? People vote with their feet, and your desperation and not particularly "smart" post basically confirms what everyone already been saying.

I went to fullerton on the bay admittedly not fullerton One, and OK it was the poolside restaurant. While the whole place was very nice to look at with nice views etc. but it has to go down as one of my worst dining experience in Singapore. Second most disappointing place was the St Regis Pool side restaurant, followed by a joint third between St. Regis Chinese and Mortons.

I might have tried Forlino but because of your post I can safely say I wont bother to go.
