Hi! I am needing to assemble some kids party bags (some 5 year olds and some 8 year olds, all girls) I don't want to just put in the usual throw-away rubbish but as I'm new to Singapore, I don't really know good places to look for small, inexpensive items (around $1-$2 each item). Any suggestions??
Thanks in advance.

I normally get my loot bag stuff in the Verge close to little India. There are a number of stores in the top floor. Things would sell for say $5 for 10 pcs of a small toy....

Not sure if you want to put in a bit of work but you could assemble a nice gardening kit.
- A brown paper bag and a sticker to seal, we usually have tonnes of stickers lying around. Brown bags can be bought at the verge place
- small plastic container for the pot, decorated with stickers?
- An ice cream stick to write what was planted or to dig and place seeds.
- A large pack of gardening soil but then separated into smaller packets, again a brown paper bag is nice. Need to measure of course amount of soil
- local seeds from the supermarket or nursery, usually S$1 to S$3.

What a great idea. I think the kids would love that. I will definitely check out Verge. Thanks!

Well, I haven't made it to Verge yet but I stumbled across a great little site so I thought I'd share. It is called bagagoodie.com and I've ordered party bags as pictured below for S$3.10 each total. I'm able to collect next day but they also offer a delivery service. I think this is far cheaper than I could have put together myself.

There are 4 items total. I mini puzzle cube, a pencil with topper, a Flower pot note holder (wooden ) and you can't see it but on the back side there is a bear shaped container of bubbles. Plus the organza bag and all pre-packed ready to go.
If this is an advert and gets removed, PM me for the name of the website.

Just went today to the Verge in Little India and you were right! The shop there is awesome and perfect for Party Bags. In fact, I think the place I ordered mine from just went there to shop! Next year, I will definitely go direct. Great for stocking stuffers and such too! Thanks so much!

Glad to have been able to help! Close to Christmas, it's a great place to buy Christmas decor items too!

It's actually Daiso. They have several stores on the island (
