Can someone help?

1) Mold problem.
I think my ties have been infected with mold (they smell moldy). I'm thinking of leaving them in the hot sun to get rid of the mold. Are there any sprays to disinfect the wardrobe from mold, or any other ideas to prevent besides having good ventilation?

2) Lizards
They leave lots of droppings on the kitchen top and floor. Any way to get rid of them?

As far as keeping your wardrobe smelling clean and getting rid of the humidity, I use Kiwi Fresh brand 3+1 dehumidifier. It's a small container that you place in your wardrobe and it sucks up moisture and keeps it smelling fresh. Works fantastic for me. Never had a problem with my ties, suits, or any piece of clothing. They last for about a month and then you replace it. Can be purchased at any Cold Storage, NTUC, etc. They come in packs of 3.

Lizards.....if you go to one of the hardware shops (Plaza Singapura, Harbour Front, bottom of Ikea and other malls) you can buy sticky "houses". Little triangular sticky houses that are baited with pheremones (sorry for the spelling if it is wrong). The lizards go inside and get stuck. In the morning you simply toss the whole thing down your garbage shute. Yes, I know it seems pretty cruel, and it is I suppose. But, it beats having them run all over your counter top and cantaminating your food. You can also buy a spray that you can put around your doorways and windows. It repels them apparently. I have not tried it yet but you can buy it at the hardware stores as well. The traps come in packs of three and cost a few dollars. The spray is about $12 I think.

Both the dehumidifier and the traps work wonderful for me. Hope this helps you out.

thanks very much for the advice. will try it out. by the way, in carrefour, I have found a dehumidifier pouch that can be re-used by heating away the absored moisture in a microwave.

Yeah, I know what one you're talking about. I have tried it before and it is pretty much worthless to be honest. Doesn't do nearly the job that the Kiwi Fresh one does. Another one, like the Kiwi one, that is advertised a lot is the Pink Hippo brand. It does a good job but the Kiwi one also gets rid of smells so I prefer that one.

Hope it works for you. Many of the aircons have a dehumidifying setting as well. You may want to check your remote out for your aircon.
