Hey guys, I moved here crecenty, got a furnished pad, but now need to buy a few things. IKEA has always been an obvious choice, but this time I'd like to updatea bit. I'm looking for a store equivalent to Habitat or Zara Living in the UK. you know, nice funky plates, linen etc. Any ideas?

thanks

Huge shopping complex visible from the Jurong East MRT station. If you are arriving at MRT from the Clementi Station MRT side, it will be visible on the right side of the train. There is a shuttle bus from the MRT to IMM or you can hoof it. I've hoofed it many times and I got very short legs so it not all that bad. Hot or middle of the day - opt for the Shuttle bus. Type IMM into google & you'll get maps, shuttles & heaps of other stuff.

You could try the Furniture Mall on Beach Road or Park Mall (which is near Dhoby Dhaut MRT station).

I think you are looking for smaller items? You can try "Molecules" or "I Wanna Go Home". Both of them are in Great World City, and I think there is another one (can't remember the name) on the second floor.

For plates, I shop around Chinatown area. There are a few shops that sell quite nice minimumistic designer type.

Ah, sorry, I misread the post - I thought you were looking for furniture. Forget the places I mentioned above and go with what girl next door suggests.

You could also try Tangs - they have some nice stuff.

Yeah furniture shops in Munich are really handy for people in Singapore, and even handier when the website is all written in German

There's a new shop, Le Article, just sprung up at the junction between River Valley Road and Hoot Kiam Road.
They sell very victorian-styled furniture and home decor items.
Quite unique stuff..

Check out "Celine" in Suntec Tower one, up the escalators in shopping area next to Guardian.

They stock a lot of good stuff and Despite the location I was able to drive / negotiate a very good deal.
