Noisy and Quiet Condos and Cluster Houses

We are hopefully moving to Singapore in the next couple of months. Having read lots of posts from people, I see that some
condos and some cluster houses have the problem of not being very soundproof and therefore you have the problems of noisy neighbours and being kept awake at night. We are hoping to avoid this (plus we have a noisy toddler and we don't want to disturb our neighbours). Can anyone recommend some nice quiet, reasonably soundproof
condos / cluster houses or alternatively tell us which ones to avoid.
Thanks

Its not so much the building its the people who live in them, and theres little control over that.
Best bet is when you go house hunting knock on your neighbours doors, on both side, above and below your unit.
You will get a good idea of the sort of people you will be up against and find out how long they will be around or a neighbour from hell could move in.
We used to live in a very quiet
condo, The Loft, then the most obnoxious English family moved in, the whole family permanently clad in polyester England football shirt. They used the pool as a makeshift waterpolo pitch, chucking a wet ball on the walls and neigbours windows, squirting those pool blaster guns on all the buildings, When I saw the dad come down to the pool I thought he was going to tell the kids to behave, he just joined in. The security Guard told them to stop and they just carried on.

One of the worst noise offenders in Singapore is nearby construction - especially if you're at home during the day. Ask around to find out what is happening in the area - nothing like moving into your idyll and finding that a jack hammer starts up the next month for a year!
