Has anyone tried investing online? i'm curious to try undsupermart on anything of that sort. i would like to eventually develop a passive income and thought this is a good way.Anyone who's tried investing online and have gotten good returns?

Good question. Very much dependent on a number of factors such as the amount of time you can devote, your existing knowledge, what you are looking to trade and frequency.

There is a whole host of execution platforms out there and, as with most industries and products, some good and some bad from a usability and features point of view. I personally use e-trade and have also used Saxo and Interactive Brokers in the past.

If you need analysis tools then Saxo, e-trade, fidelity and scottrade are pretty good. Another factor to consider is the investment approach you are looking to take and maybe look to base your choice around that. By that I mean do you need the fastest execution or high liquidity because you are looking for more frequent trading, or are you looking for a platform with more niche features such as FX or options etc, or alternatively you may opt for a platform that provides the best fundamental stock reports.

On an analytical level to use with your platform, Bloomberg also provides basic stock analysis if you search by ticker etc.

I would recommend googling best online execution platforms and try out 5 or 6 trial versions using a virtual portfolio, and see which one suits your needs.

One more point, read the small print on fees and trade assistance etc.

As I know that Forex is a very high risk online investment. However, it also gain the most profit then stock.

Furthermore, it can trade 24 hour daily.

Yes you can make good returns from online investments. As rightfully pointed out earlier, you need good knowledge on the areas you are venturing into. Investing is not a gamble but art and science blended together. For the science, read, read, read,,,,have at least good three years of solid readings on investing and business world....and as for the art, start small gain experience, talk to those who are already into it, have a logical and not emotional mind when it comes to investing, do not believe in notions such as high risk equal high returns, instead look for low risk and good returns.Most importantly, for the start invest only what you can afford to lose.Never ever borrow using your credit card to invest (unless you are 101% sure your investments can give you more than 24% returns) and finally please diversify to other secure and alternative investments.

I dont think online investment is safe....

I just invest in ETFs and very specific companies - no difference la.

If I had more money, I want to work with some of the PE firms. Too bad - not a multi-millionaire yet.

I think risk-returns is always a profile in equilibrium. High returns, easy money will also mean higher risks. So one must take calculated risks on an informed basis.

What investments do you have?
