Hi Folks ...

This week we are going to explore Little India. First, we'll meet at 8:30 at the control center at Little India MRT, and then head to Zsofi’s Tapas Bar in Dunlop Street for a beer, before wandering around little India to find a good place for dinner. Then back to the bars on Dunlop street for more beer and good conversation ....

Hope to see all the folk from last week + a few new faces would be nice. Please bring along friends ...more the merrier.......

For anyone interested in a local religious / cultural experience during the day, there will be a 'yew keng' - a kind of religious procession complete with lion dances, dragon dances and spirit mediums in trance visiting the following locations on Saturday afternoon:

Jurong West Yu Huang Combined Temple at Jurong West St. 76
Jurong area Supporter Place
Koo Cai Ba Cheng Huang Miao at No. 15 Arumugam Rd
Zi Yun Kai Ji Gong at Hougang Ave 3
2 Temples from Serangoon North Ave 1
Zhong Yi Tian Ming Temple at Serangoon North Ave 3

They are scheduled to leave the first location at 1:30 (but this is sometimes changed by special request from one of the participating deities). I am not sure at what time they will be in each location, but I will be going along to find out about 4:45, so can call me any time after 4:45 to find out if the procession is still going, and where the procession is at.

7.15pm - 朝雲宮 (Combined Temple) @Hougang Ave 3
