Hoping someone has an answer.

I have low milk and have for the past 3 children. I began taking DPD (motilium) with my last baby and it worked wonderfully. However I am about to run out of it.

I usually order it from a pharmacy in New Zealand. you do not need a prescription. Most doctors do not even prescribe it for this purpose as it's normally a stomach medicine. In large doses it induces lactation.

anyway, i''m wondering if anyone has any experience with obtaining it in singapore for this purpose. I take 10 a day so a regular prescription would do nothing.

I have no problem continuing to order it online but i wonder if it would make it through customs.

mayb you'll like to try buying fenugreek?
it also helps with lactation.

I'm not sure about the dosage etc., but during antenatal classes they were mentioning motilium as an option, so I guess it is available in Singapore. Speak to your pediatrician.
you may also try mentioned here fenugreek, or specially mixed herbal tea from Hipp (this one I've seen in German Market Place).

Camden pharmacy sells Mother's Milk (or something similar is name) that has fenugreek in it...some have said that works better than taking just the fenugreek by itself.

thank you all VERY much for responding. I have tried the fenugreek but I have SEVERE low milk and that doesnt help much. The motillium is like having a full supply. With previous breastfeeding I had to supplement...this is the frist time I havent.

I made an appt with my gyno to see if she can prescribe it. I was at the pediatrician today...should have asked him.

I'm also taking motilium for low supply (9 tabs a day). You can buy them over-the-counter at NTUC pharmacy, or any pharmacy that carries it. I do that when I run low but usually get from my GP.
