I'm 24/f and moved to Singapore more than 5yrs ago. Thanks to the group outings and events back then, I assimilated well here and made a lot of friends.

So I'm hoping to give back by helping new expats.

I'm sorry but with only two posts for now, you do not have a track record of organizing events but you're--in essence--collecting personal info which straddles a thin line regarding privacy.

I could be wrong or these people are savvy enough to use "throw-away" email addresses, just in case things go wrong.

Again, I'm not saying you are up to no good but I'm just saying that for everyone's sake, please take some effort to reassure that people's privacies will be safe in your hands.

And the others, please don't freely give away your personal email addresses as there are spam bots and other entities who are up to no good that collect email addresses across the entire public-access internet.
