Looking for like-minded people to hang out!

Hi anyone staying near Farrer Park CitySquare Mall and fancy meeting up for a beer or two after work, sports, chilling out with people, maybe by the pool (from diverse backgrounds and cultures) and clubbing sometime?

I do to all the above, but unfortunately all my flatmates are passionate about are watching TV, staying home after work, going to casinos 5 out of 7 days a week and not being open to people of different culture. Very passionate indeed.... =x

I moved out to stay on my on not long ago, despite being the same race as my flatmates (but different countries), I still got a major culture shock!!! Being raised up in Singapore, I'm used to having multi-racial friends around me, and I really enjoy talking to different people and learning about them and their cultures.

My flatmates don't like to hang out with people from different races or countries. They even mentioned that I shouldn't bring my girl friend back for girly nites-in because of culture difference! My friend's British.

Therefore I really hope to find some like minded people who love living life as well and not sitting at home mostly to "rot".

(24f Singaporean)

P.s: will be free after next weds, clearing tonnes of school reports now :(

Hi,

If you got nothing against a french man, i'll be happy to join for a beer or so ;)

May i suggest also you invite all expat on this forum and make a huge party at your place !
First it can only be good for your flatmates to stop watching tv
Second how rude is that to ask you not to bring your friends ? if themselves are not from singapore how can they be so intolerent against other culture ?
Well, what to do la !

Cheers

Shall we plan something simple this Friday? Chill out by the pool or dinner outside? :)
Will be cool! I have a bottle of red wine and some pop corn, hehe...
Depends if there's any of you free and interested to chill out on friday.

Hi there,

My guess is that you're a Eurasian, not European...ahaha
Anyway, your flatmates have a more isolated mind.
Yeah, I 'll like to chill out with you and the others.
We can go to places together in a group.
I am in my mid-thirties, Female, Singaporean by Nationality,
chinese by Race.

Hi Pearlene,

Would be nice to hang out together! On our first impromptu meeting, we had a nice simple dinner, followed by wine and popcorn, which was really cool! I was thinking if the rest are keen, I would love to hang out again this friday night! Any ideas by anybody are welcome. :)

I know of a Nepalese Restaurant in Little India with really nice Nepalese "pizza". The price's reasonable too.

Btw, I'm Singaporean Chinese (though my mum mentioned briefly my granddad might be Peranakan (Strait Chinese) :)

Hi,

yes, our last meeting was good fun. Would love to try the Nepalese place, but have something going on on Friday.

Any chance we shift to Sunday?
