Has anyone had any experience with car sharing schemes? How did it go? Can you ever not get a car?

I am thinking of going with KahShare or Whizzcar. Did I miss any others? Car Coop's website doesn't seem to work anymore.

We did the Whizzcar thing for a while. It was very convenient for us because they had cars in the carpark just across the street from our condo. The only time we ever had trouble getting a car was on weekend nights but if we booked a day ahead of time it wasn’t a problem.
We did finally end up leasing a car long term.

Are these publicly / company run car shares? I have a car that I don't use all that much, located in the Keppel Bay area. Wondering about sharing it and if that is allowed here, or what the insurance implications are?
