I'm looking for advice on sending some boxes to Australia from Singapore as my child will be attending university and moving back. Any suggestions on cost to send boxes and with which company.
Thanks

Just to share with you my experience with eXcess baggage to ship from Singapore to Melbourne. I found them through internet and initially I thought they were very prompt and affordable. When the boxes were picked up from my apartment, the delivery men were prompt to identify the boxes with electronics so I thought they wanted to be very careful in handling. It cost me S$1000+ for 8 boxes, with bulk insurance. When the items finally arrived in Melbourne, I lost all the electronics (Mac Mini, Xbox, Wii controllers etc). Till now I am still waiting for claim on insurance because they are merely wanting to me less than 10% of my loss. My advice, if you are going with this company, make sure you personally deliver them to the warehouse or use a different type of tapes to seal the box so you could identify if it is tempered. For insurance, don't bother to use bulk but buy item by item which will cost a lot more but worthy when it comes to loss (you need to have the original receipt for claim). On arrival of boxes in Melbourne, ensure you don't sign any document until you open the box and inspect that everything is intact. I learn my lesson in a hard way. Hope you have better luck.
