clinic for delivery with intensice care for mother+child?

Hi
just wondering which clinic in Singapore has an intensive care for the mother (if sth goes wrong during delivery) and for the child as well?
What was your experience in that hospital and the costs (normal/c-section)?

You do not have to worry one bit. SG is NOT a THIRD WORLD Country
The facilities is World Class and you fear will be laid to rest. From Private Hospital to Government Aided Hospitals , all have excellent failities . You will pay thru the nose going with private ones
When things get roughs, all the hospitals has failities from forceps , vacuum. C-sect, breech ops and epidural. You pick and choose.
For C-sect cost can be from $6K upwards plus child. There are reputable Gynae, Obs in the market. It is up to you to find which one is the most comfortable to you. Private Hosp is Mt Alvernia, Mount Elizabeth, Gleneagles. Government ones are KK. NUH

thanks for your answer, I am not converned about Singapore being a third world country.
I have been previously checking the websites of the Hospitals but there I am not able to find what kind of ICU unit is available. e.g. Mt Alvernia has one, however this would be a critical care? But I am not sure if this is the same?
Not sure if anyone knows the answer but then in this case I would better go and ask the hospital while on one of the maternity tours.

All hospital has ICU and High Dependency Unit and Post Surgery Unit if you are worried about this.
NUH has more , a CT Scan , MRI and the works.
When you into labour you will have your Gynae/Obs, a Padaetrician with you. The babies wards has UV bed , midwives etc...
Hence rest assured you are in good hands. BTW the fertility death in SG is very low, almost non existence.
If you are still unsure, call all the hospitals here and insure yourself and the baby

From the research I did, all the hospitals have NICUs however KK has a level 4 NICU so if you expect to have complications, you might be best there.. I personally was treated at Raffles, and even they said that for premature babies born less than 26 weeks would likely be transferred to KK or NUH.

^^^+1 Precisely and OP concern is abit over the top
