Hi,

I have been looking for some part-time/work from home jobs in Singapore on all the job portals but haven't found anything yet.

I am looking for something in the areas of -
- content writing/proof reading for websites
- part time recruitment
- customer care

I am also open to taking tuitions for primary school children in English and Maths.

I would really appreciate if anyone knows any openings or if you can connect me with someone who can help. I know there are a lot of professionals in this forum and I am hoping you will be kind enough to help!

I suggest you be aware of the laws in working without a valid work permit/employment pass. Even from home or part time it's not legal for someone on a dependents pass without the right setup.

SMS - Thanks for you pointer. If I was looking at working around the laws, this post would not have made it to this forum.

This post is solely intended for all the working professionals who may be aware of such openings in their organizations or have someone in their network. Usually part time openings are filled out with word-of-mouth and don't make it to a job portal.

And hence my post.

I'm pretty sure you cannot get an EP for part-time work - hence my reply. Don't want to see anyone on here run foul of the law should they happen across your post and think it's okay, so my reply is for the benefit of anybody else who might come across this thread and thinking it's all right.........

So assuming someone saw this post and got in touch with me...saying the company had an opening and I could apply for it, don't you think the company would check if they can or not, before giving me a job? It is for the organisation to decide that, right?
The way you put it makes it sound IMPOSSIBLE. Is it?

Also, for 'smart, discrete advertising' I appreciate you giving me the benefit of doubt. I thought people were here to network and hence figured apart from personal, I could reach out for some professional help too. If you have some rules against these kind of posts... I would appreciate being directed to wherever the 'rules & regulations' section is. And will stay within the boundaries in future.

Well, if you are in Singapore, and legally employed, and working, you will know that a lot of MLMs side step the law and claim this and that to entice possible sign ups .. only later,like when you try to cash your first 'payout' you find that those on EP / WP / S-Pass are not allowed to do any part time work .. and the said organisation can't issue you a cheque .. and by then, the MLM Promoter has scooted off ..

been there, got burnt, and have a lot of people who lost $ from 500 $ to 5,000 $ ..

Company's will tell you most anything. The HR departments of local companies don't really exist except in name. They are normally not trained all that well. They will sound you out, make you an offer, and then get back to you to tell you that your work permit application was unsuccessful. This is to keep from telling you that you cannot work part time unless you are a Singaporean or a PR. They don't like to say no.

Virtually. See ecureilx' response above. However, there is another way. See the below thread but take not too much from the first three pages but more of the last 2 pages. Even now, it's debatable how much validity there is in what is there, but there are those who have done it so there is a way.

Whenever you post a message on this forum you have to type in a message box. Directly above that box is an orange banner with the statement: "ADVERTISEMENTS WILL BE DELETED!!" This means exactly what it says. Doesn't matter whether it's positions available, positions wanted, items for sale or wanted, social gatherings/functions that are created for the purpose of generating money or anything that is bought or sold. Same as soliciting business for MLM's or other types of "at home" businesses. If it can be construed as advertising we usually whack it. Our regulars prefer it that way and police the threads as hard as we mods do. You post literally outlined the types of jobs you were looking for so it did resemble a job wanted ad.......
