Language Meet?

Seems like quite a lot of people are interested in learning a new language (and understandably Mandarin being the most popular).

I too am keen to practice Mandarin, as well as French and Italian.

Looking through the posts however, I wonder whether it would be more productive to have a group meetup?

I'm happy to try to organise one, but I will need help on choosing a venue, since I'm no longer familiar with Singapore and it would obviously be good to find somewhere central and importantly, air-conditioned. (oh, and equally importantly, spacious enough to accommodate a group of people - every coffee shop I go seems to be crowded nowadays!).

Your idea sounds very good and I would like to offer my help. I think the Holland Village is a good place. There are some nice bars here. It's a good place for gathering, I think.

I think it's a very good idea to arrange a group to exchange languages together. If you do need any volunteers, count me in.

I'm a native Chinese and have some experience on tutoring Mandarin Chinese for foreigners.
