Joe, welcome to Singapore! Soccer is the popular sport here but you can still catch the NFL around the island where Americans gather ;)

I'm moving to singapore at the end of August and I'm terrified. I don't really know anyone (well i know a married guy from long island who lives there but only through a friend and we've only spoken via email).
I hear beer and housing are crazy pricey.
I'd love to know how things are working out for you there. Feel free to email me anytime - [email protected]

Hey Joe- welcome to Singapore!
My husband (31) and I (33) just move out here from Boston in mid-June. Outside of a few colleagues we barely know a sole here so we'd def be game to meet up sometime...so long as you have nothing against New England sport fans :-) what part of the states are you from? I'm fairly new to this forum and can't pm yet so send a message to [email protected] if you want to make a plan.
Cheers!
Nadia

If you like running, you might want to checkout the hash harriers http://www.hash.org.sg/

A great way to see the city. Beers after runs.

U've got to have a link/url somewhere to your pic.. maybe a blog or something and u use the codes to 'attach' the pic... not a very convenient way but most forums have to do it that way... :???: [/img]

I've lived outside of the US before but never quite this far from home. Would love to meet new people, male or female, so we could check out some of the sights together. I'm an avid runner and enjoy lifting weights to stay fit, on the other hand I enjoy down time having BBQs and watching movies as well. Any interest in American Football over here? I think that is one of the things ill miss the most. I also love to cook, just about any type of food so that's pretty exciting as well.

I tossed a picture up as its some sort of introduction but look forward to hearing from you.
