Hi all...this is my first post here...read some really nice posts and nice to be here...hope to make some new friends also here
I've applied for PR in Mar 2011 and have not heard from ICA yet! Online status tell - "pending"
We are from India. I've been here for 4.5 yrs, working in International Sales(EP - P2) in a private company. applied for PR after wedding in Jan 2011. My wife was in singapore for only 2 month when i applied.
She was a DP at that time. Early this month she's got a job - IT, application developer. Now need to send the details to ICA about her employment and EP.
can anyone advise me the chances i have to get my PR approved? Are there people who got approval over the last few months(read post elections

)?how much time did it take?

Looks like the average processing time (if something like "average" exists) is 5-7 months in the last cases I know, so still in time.
Usually the clear rejections came out faster, so this "might" be good news for you, that at least yours is being considered.
Patience is your friend!

Hi ,
I think no news is a good news .I agree that outcome of PR with straight rejection may come in 1-2 months. I know people are waiting for the outcome for more than a year , In the mean while you can submit the updated docs of your spouse.
Patience is the only key.
Good Luck.

Not sure that the OP can read! The letter you get with the PR application is that processing will take approximately
6 months, guess you thought that they put that there for their own benefit.

No two applications is the same. If you trying to understand how the system works with ICA, forget it, You are wasting your brain juice which can be use for something else that is beneficial and useful

You have all the right tick marks. Especially the including your kids on the application as dependent PR's. This shows you are here for the duration (course everything is subject to change, but at least you've made the initial commitment). Additionally, you are Chinese, albeit Malaysian, but that is an advantage as the two cultures, Singapore & Malaysia, are similar so you dovetail into Singapore rather easily.
Congratulations.
