Lol... you mean Singapore Noodles?

Reminds me of the 1st Grand Prix in SG and they were interviewing Ecclestone. One question was 'Have you had any good food, what is your favourite?'... and he went into raptures about 'Singapore Noodles'. Which of course does not exist outside of the UK

thats the one....apparently first started in hkg then spread to UK and US

ive not seen any here yet, will have to make my own!

i guess its the same as in asia, the version of "westen" sausages, firstly in UK it would never be chicken and secondly would never me a processed mixture of meat and flour.

These were my favourite at the take-away ........ then I got to Singapore and couldnt find them anywhere.

To be honest, there isnt much you can get in the local takeaway here!!

theres loads of baked beanz (Heinz) available already...some even imported from UK

Have weened myself off baked beans when in Singapore, will partake in some beans on toast though when I am back in the UK for a holiday in 3 weeks time though.

Fairprice were selling Terry's Choc oranges for a while , I was buying 6 a week to try and keep them interested, but alas they have stopped selling them. At least in Pasir Ris at any rate.

i think i did see imported ones...obviously more expensive. The UK recipe ones are manufactured in Australia. The standard ones are manufactured in China / malaysia

on a side note, Mustafas has a lot of english imported stuff, from what i remember on a recent trip

Good point. Asian take-outs in the UK have everything, but when you eventually get to Asia the take-outs are crap in comparison.

Hey jsc, you can try this seafood restaurant across the causeway in Johor Bahru. http://www.makansutra.com/reviews/2010_0719/index.html

It is frequented by many Singaporeans, therefore it is not surprising to find many singapore cars parked along the road. I've frequented this place a few times and i must say the fried vermicelli is simply one of the best i've tasted. Haven't tasted this kind of quality fried vermicelli in Singapore.

I would recommend you to give it a try.
