Should I fly with Emirates or SQ? I am fine with being based in Dubai; my only concern would be the pay and recognition as a good service professional with good ettiquette.

Emirates pay in USD which is not very stable now. Something you might want to consider.

Are you sure Emirates still pay in USD? I thought they used to, but since a few years back, have changed to paying in AED?

Are you currently flying for Emirates, or have friends in there? I would like to know more. Thanks.

In AED, not in USD.

It's not as great as you think it is. The passengers profile here is mainly Indians and living here in the UAE will make you feel like a primary school student. Peak flight period is midnight onwards to morning.

really all indian passengers? i think depends on your flights, if the flight you are assign to are to india, sri lanka, etc, then might be more indians.

i took EK a few times and the passengers are a mixture, and only a couple of indians.

as for primary school, what do you mean? the EK crews are childish or the EK management is like a primary school?

hey pink petal, read my response carefully. i said MAINLY, not all. Obviously you have no idea who EK MAIN CUSTOMERS ARE.

Of course, everyone is gonna tell you that ek is the best of the all middle eastern companies, to me, it's no difference. some rules are almost as bad as others.

Hey Luohan & no name. Thanks for correcting me. Yes, Emirates payment policy has changed and my information about USD is outdated. That was a point of concern for my friends and me then as we felt the USD was going to be unstable in the coming year. Sure enough, it dropped so much.
