Hi to All,

I am curious about to know what is the procedure to start some art and craft centre (like paintings and candles classes) or we can say hobby classes, do we need a commercial space or can start with our home address (HDB).

I belong to India and reside with dependent visa.

Kindly provide the related link or url, if any..

Thanks & Regards,

First you should apply or convert to Employment Pass.

Follow the guide here:
http://www.mom.gov.sg/pass-navigator/fo ... -time.aspx

After getting employment pass, you should register a business and appoint a local manager.

You could not apply your HDB as business address. You need approval from HDB.

What I suggest is to register your business address using virtual office (around $10 / month) .

solubytes, if you don't have a clue as to what you are saying, you would be better off not responding at all.....

You cannot put the cart before the horse. You have to have a job before you can get an employment pass.

For the OP, read this sticky thread in it's entirety.....

thanks a ton :)

anyone(DP/EP/PR) can start that kind of business under small business scheme of Singapore Government, and even can use HDB address for all my correspondence and official work, but the main restrictions are:

maximum 3 trainees at a time,
only one trainer should be there,
no complaint from the neighbors, like u can't do something that bother person living in your surroundings,

these three are to be considered, if you exceed any of these then you need to be registered your business and to proceed some legal formalities ( none of my business, so not much knowledge)
