Hi all,

I will be frequently travel back and forth from Singapore.
I signed up for the Qantas frequent flyer program, Jetstar is a 'baby company' of Qantas.

When I try to find out how many miles I would get from Singapore, I get an error:

"You can earn Frequent Flyer points and Status Credits on Jetstar JetFlex and StarClass fares only."

I don't understand.
Are the miles from Jetstar the same as the miles from Qantas?

Please advise.

Cheers

Jetstar Airlines being the budget airlines will obviously not always have the same mileage equivalent to the flights of Qantas. As the "error" message stated, frequent flyers points are only earned for certain types of fares. :)

Blimey, I'm surprised jetstar gives you anything towards points at all - goes against the whole point of a no-frills airline. I used them recently and found them expensive for an internal Aus flight - more than Qantas on the same route - so you're right, maybe they should dish out the miles. I'll check if i can claim....

Yeah, you would need to have ***Star JetFlex, StarClass fares or buy the option to get mileage points (Plus or Max bundles) before travel to get points on Qantas' FF program. Also, only on Qantas, not on any of the OneWorld partners.
