taking away the free fam tic from crew?

Hello everyone id just like to ask if this is true
As i heard from some of my friends that i have to be recruited as a crew this year to enjoy the benefit of a free tic will be taken away next yr on.
as in i know there is 1 for the crew and if im not wrogn is there one for the family member? like ur mom?
