Singapore Expats

Hi All,

Since I arrived in Singapore almost 3 months ago I've been trying to find, in vain it seems like, someone to play tennis with me regularly. I used to play social and semi-competitive singles and doubles tennis at home (Brisbane, Australia) 2 or 3 times a week and absolutely loved it. I've been traveling for the last year so am definitely out of practice, but am really keen to start playing once or twice a week. I'm a 25 yr old Aussie chick looking to swing a racquet and get some exercise, but have fun and meet new people at the same time.

I'm looking for a group of like-minded tennis players who can play doubles socially once a week for 2-3 hours. We would book a couple courts and play a set of doubles tennis, then mix up partners and who plays together so that everyone gets a hit and you play with a range of people. Have a fun game of tennis and then maybe a casual beer or two afterwards...

I live near Aljunied MRT, but don't mind going to somewhere else to play. I'm also looking for someone to play singles tennis with as well if you're in the area...

Please let me know if you're interested or have any ideas.

i'm also a 25 year old, looking for a tennis buddy. haven't picked up my racket in over 7 years, but am looking to get back into the sport again.

not sure how rusty i am right now but i reckon i'll be able to get into the swing of things within an hour or so? (fingers crossed).

if you don't mind rallying with me for the first couple of session (before moving on to doubles/singles proper) , i'd be happy to save a few hours a week for tennis + drinks.

Hey Sam what do you mean by amateurs? I'm looking for people who have a bit of playing experience, can sustain a rally consistently and be able to play somewhat competitively. If this is your group I would def like to join, although unfortunately can't play tmrw.

How did you go with the tennis group?

I'm from Sydney and I use to play a reasonable amount of tennis back in my late teen's. I've had a couple of hits up here, but I would really like to join a group where we could play once a week or once a fortnight. My backhand is a bit of a shocker right now. I use to be a double hander, then started playing squash.. and now I'm a single back hander with way to much wrist action going on. Need to tidy it up. Otherwise my other shots are reasonable (i think / hope).

am looking for some hits as well...i used to play for my high school team but i'm very rusty now...would love to get back into the game and get some hits

Anyone near Kembangan MRT (in East) that would want a hit of tennis for an hour or 2 on weeknights? I used to play back in NZ a bit and am keen to get back into it. I'm a 31 year old kiwi, been here just over 1 1/2 years.

Posting the same thing multiple times is spamming, regardless of intent. You can look for players for non-commercial reasons, just not posting the exact same post in different threads.
